Woodworker & Maker

Bill is a third-generation woodworker who uses native wood and English machinery and tools to create useful, beautiful and functional pieces for the home.

He is also a photographer, musician, artist and gardener, with a practice that moves between making, sourcing and working with materials and observing the world around him.

His work is grounded in practical knowledge, traditional making and a direct relationship with materials and tools.

Based between Stockport and Macclesfield.

Bill is getting back into working on the lathe, returning to producing small batches of utilitarian pieces such as bowls, spreaders and stirrers.

Editions of these latest pieces are now available at The Trading Post.

He is also part way through his first season growing from seed at an allotment space in Macclesfield and learning to play the banjo.
